B.A.F.<\/strong> – Bunker adjustment factor (adjustment to vary- ing fuel costs).<\/p>\r\n

B\/L<\/strong> – Bill of Lading (transport document showing the sea transport from point of departure to point of destination).<\/p>\r\n

C.A.F.<\/strong> – Currency adjustment factor (Adjustments for currency exchange fluctuations).<\/p>\r\n

C.F.S.<\/strong> – Container freight station (Storage facility from which collective containers are loaded to or from).<\/p>\r\n

C.Y.<\/strong> – Container Yard (Place where loaded containers are sent for shipment or for inland transportation).<\/p>\r\n

C.H.<\/strong> – Container Yard (Place where loaded containers are sent for shipment or for inland transportation).<\/p>\r\n

C\/S<\/strong> – Congestion surcharge (surcharge for waiting times in port) = \u201cCongestion\u201d of the port. Demurrage: \u201cStorage fee\u201d, when a container has remained in the container depot in the port or inland longer than the agreed-upon demurrage-free time. Detention: \u201cContainer rent\u201d, when a container is not retur- ned to the shipping company after the agreed- upon \u201cdetention free\u201d period has elapsed.<\/p>\r\n

E.T.A.<\/strong> – Estimated time of arrival (scheduled ship arrival time).<\/p>\r\n

E.T.D.<\/strong> – Hora estimada de salida. Hora programada de llegada del nav\u00edo.<\/p>\r\n

E.T.D.<\/strong> – Full container load (full container service).<\/p>\r\n

FCL\/FCL<\/strong> – Container sent from a shipper to a recipient.<\/p>\r\n

FCL\/LCL<\/strong> – Deliveries from one shipper to multiple recipi- ents in one container.<\/p>\r\n

FCR<\/strong> – Forwarding Agent Certificate of Receipt.<\/p>\r\n

LCL<\/strong> – Less than container load.<\/p>\r\n

LCL\/LCL<\/strong> – Partial deliveries, which have been consolidated into one container in the container freight sta- tion and are later separated to be sent to the various recipients at the port of destination.<\/p>\r\n

LCL\/FCL<\/strong> – Deliveries of multiple shippers to one recipient in one container.<\/p>\r\n

M.H.<\/strong> – Merchant\u2019s Haulage: Inland transportation to and from the port is carried out by the shipping agent.<\/p>\r\n

P.O.L.<\/strong> – Port of loading (loading port).<\/p>\r\n

P.O.D.<\/strong> – Port of discharge (destination port).<\/p>\r\n

Stripping<\/strong> – Unloading the container.<\/p>\r\n

Stuffing<\/strong> – Loading the container.<\/p>\r\n

TEU<\/strong> – Twenty foot equivalent unit (20\u2019 container-unit).<\/p>\r\n

T.H.C.<\/strong> – Terminal Handling Charge (Cargo handling charges for containers).<\/p>\r\n

T\/T<\/strong> – Loading the container.<\/p>\r\n
