    Drop in goods<\/h2>\n

    Up to the beginning of September, freight traffic has fallen by 15.1 per cent in all European airports<\/strong>, 15.8 per cent if we count only those belonging to the EU and 16.4 per cent of the airports outside the EU. In the case of Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Su\u00e1rez, the fall was 29,3 per cent year-on-year, Barcelona fell by 35,3 per cent and in the case of Palma de Mallorca, the drop was 26,5 per cent compared to 2019.<\/p>\n

    European airports in trouble<\/h2>\n

    According to information from the European Airports Council<\/strong> (ACI Europe<\/a>) almost 200 European airports<\/strong> could face economic insolvency if activity is not revived in the coming months. In addition to the significant reduction in passenger flights<\/strong> due to the pandemic, there has been a general collapse in air cargo activity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    On the other hand, the facilities that will be most clearly affected are mainly regional airports<\/strong>.
